This past weekend I mainly worked on retopologizing the Johnny Mercer statue (Saturday morning) and the coffee cup shot. For the coffee cup shot I worked on the wood, but I'm still not really happy with it. I also need to work on the contact shadow of the cup and additionally have the outside window have some parallax. I have two examples below that I rendered. I think I will add the coffee lid and the wooden stir stick to add more visual interest to the shot. Additionally I want to add some coffee stains or to the top of the cup where someone has taken a sip. And as Joe had suggested I might want to add a water imprint on the table and some sugar packets.
